In a separate process, the center "pass through sword holes" normally cut through the gimmicks, are machined approximately half way through. This way it appears you see holes through the panels when opened out flat but there are no holes, that might give the secret away, when the panels are closed. 7. Gimmick panel hinges are hand fitted with semitublar rivets then hand swaged over. (They are flatter and stronger than pop- rivets and should never need replaced or come loose.) 8. The materials used stand out much better than paint. Your audience will be dazzled even from distances. Painted models usually reflect stage lighting into the eyes of the audience, and not in a good way, this prop won't do that. |
