| Mental Epic has to be one of the greatest mentalist items ever. Magicians and mentalists both feel comfortable performing it because of how straight forward it is. As you know, the performer writes three different predictions on the board in the upper squares. Three volunteers call out numbers and other information that is written in the lower squares. When the upper and lower squares are compared all three predictions match! it always gets a great response. | ||||||||||||
| The original method, invented by Hen Fetch, was an award winning effect, however it used gimmicks that did not allow examination of the board. A short time later U.F. Grant discovered a method that uses no gimmicks. Through the years other manufacturers have devised ways to overly gimmick the board allowing for the sale of the effect for a lot more money. While some of these devices are definatly clever they don't add much of anything to the effect & the audience can not examine the board. So, we've discovered over the years, the best way to perform the effect it is less expensive and without gimmicks. Why spend hundreds of dollars on some Rube Goldberg device when this sleek version works beautifully. There's nothing that can "get stuck" because there are no gimmicks & no fear of noise, because it can't make any. You may hand the cover, board & marker to anyone immediately before and after the effect - they will not discover the secret. Let me repeat. The board and cover are completely examinable both before and after the effect. There is nothing anyone can find because there are no secret compartments or sliding/moving parts, at all. Nothing is added or taken away. It's easy to do. No set-up is required. Either end of the board is up. We think this is both the easiest and most direct version of this great effect. | ||||||||||||
