No assistant is required, an audience volunteer can be used.
Perform this illusion in someones home or on the stage.
Performer walks away while the volunteer is suspended.

Two Chairs are opened on the stage and a board placed on top. A volunteer reclines on the board and is wrapped with a Magic Cloth.
The chair that supports their feet is removed. The board is removed. They appear to be suspended in mid air. Wave your arms all over and under. They really look like they're floating! Place the board and chair back under their feet. The volunteer gets a round of applause as they exit. You will receive a larger round of applause and will be asked for your business card more often.

Important information. While this suspension can support a hundred seventy five pounds we only reccomend a person who weighs 45 to 85 because a heaver person makes the suspension sag if not placed on top just right. Other manufacturers claim their suspension will support a full size person but in reality the only way to do this is if they hang their head and arm off the back of the chair creating a counter ballance. I don't believe this looks good and it's difficult to place an adult in the right spot. The difference is, a person up to 85 pounds will lay on the gimmick and the illusion will look like the photo above, where as, a larger person is doing a balancing act because they're hanging off both ends. I would rather sell fewer units of this trick, because you know the truth about how it works, then sell more by stretching the truth. So. If you are lookin to use this in a kids show or you have a really small adult this is a great illusion. I perform this trick at 60 percent of my weekend shows and have performed it hundreds of times. People hire me simply because I offer this trick. I recommend the chair suspension for kids show performers.
