| Effect: Three volunteers each select a card from an unopened or borrowed deck. Three cards are freely selected and signed on their face. The magician speaks “In the good old days of merry old England the Nights Of The Round Table started the tradition of the suggestion box. I have, in my hands, the very first suggestion box ever made and here’s what you get when you make a suggestion”. The performer opens the box and displays three sharp throwing knives. “Just kidding, here is the real story. Each knight would write a suggestion and place it on the round table face down. The king would mix the papers and select one to read.” At this point the cards are mixed in the deck by a volunteer and all the cards randomly spread face down on a table. “ In the old days the king merely took a stab at the suggestions on the table and I’ll do the same”. With that, the performer takes each knife and randomly strikes in a haphazard fashion. Three cards are stabbed in rapid succession. The knives stick straight up. Volunteers tilt the table and all but the impaled cards fall to the floor. The three volunteers are asked to confirm that their signed cards were stuck on the business ends of the knives. Truth has triumphed, justice has been served. The strong have prevailed and the performer gets a very nice round of applause. | |||||||||

| In addition to a really great routine the box is beautifully made. Each is hand made from solid Mahoghoney. Walnut slip joints are used on all four corners for strength and appearance. The lid (not shown) is a beautiful medailian of hard wood veneer. Because of the variety of woods used there are only a few of each style made. The inside is lined with velvet. A solid brass hinge tops off the appearance. Each one is a masterpiece with mitered joints at all four corners. It's nice enough to sit on your desk. Humidor boxes using similar construction techniques can cost up to a thousand dollars but that’s where the similarity ends. Without giving away the secret, we have built a very special gimmick right in the box that makes the trick possible. If you are familiar with Jay Leslie’s other gimmicks like his Ultimate Ring and String or Coin Through Coin you won’t be disappointed. The gimmick in Nija Knives rivals anything you have ever seen.
