| Here is the first, and most popular style of big lock This is a warded style lock. It is 10 inches tall. Do not confuse this lock with the other "crafters" locks on the market. This lock really works. Each layer has it's own function. A different key would not open this lock. It is true to form. The key is 4 inches tall. There are 4 wards and 7 layers of woods used. Put the key in, turn it a quarter of a revolution and pull the hasp up. It locks with or without the key, just close the hasp and it's secure.
The woods used here are three layers of Paduk and/or Blood Wood with possibly two varieties of walnut and Mahoghany or oak for tha last two layers. The shakle can be of oak or other light wood that has some interesting grain. The shackle is 3/4 of an inch in diamater.
